Welcome to Your Favourite Artists Favourite Artists where we get the low down on who rocks it better than anyone, from those that rock it the best
This week our US homie U4EK (Euphoric) kindly shares his selection.
One time on a trip to the States I touched down in LA being completely oblivious to it being Thanksgiving Day. I do my best to avoid being an ignorant traveller and can’t help but feel embarassed when it happens, especially when it puts others out. I was due to meet up with U4EK for In n Out. Little did I know at the time that he’d bounced on his parnter, kids and extended family to take me out that night. He made no big thing of it.
I’ve always bugged out on U4EKs crispy lines and popping colour schemes. Knowing that he’s a top guy makes enjoying his art so much sweeter – Jim
#1 Retro TAD, Moscow/Russia
Definitely one of my top inspirations. He’s always been ahead of the curve experimenting with new styles making graffiti look as fun as possible in the most brutal of places.
#2 Isrek AUB, Seattle/USA
Glad to call this guy a friend or “BUB “. He’s definitely one of the most disciplined well rounded artists I’ve ever met from roller to brush, can or pencil. Dude can do it all. A silent killer.
#3 Earsnot IRAK, NYC/USA
“Infamy” Was the first video I ever seen getting introduced to graffiti. Earsnot is a Handstyle God with all utensils – streaks , shoe polish, white out pen, you name it. To me he really is staple to my generation.
#4 KEM5 VMD, “Everywhere in the world”
This dude puts it down in all categories from chrome to color, burner to throw, fireworks to friendship. Dudes just does his thing no matter where he is from; the cold streets of the East Coast to the scorching desserts of California to the jungles of Asia and everywhere in between. Probably the best guy to ever do it. We don’t stand a chance so “Bow down when he comes to your town” – Ice Cube Voice.
